Ara Thunder Dazzles IPADA (Returnees), Others

… With A Night Of Frills, Thrills and Great Entertainment

Happiness is contagious! And that’s the message Ara Thunder passed unto the teeming crowd that gathered for dinner, to watch her perform at the International stage at La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort at Ibeju-lekki, Lagos on Saturday night.

The Ibo lady that sings Yoruba traditional songs, and plays the lofty gangan Yoruba traditional drums, was in her usual musical mood as she roared unto the stage to deliver an electrifying performance that wowed the audience and lifted their souls and ignited the dance steps of the crowd unto the dancing floor!

At a point, Ara Thunder was lost in the crowd! As the audience roared back spontaneously, filled with the spirit of her moving dance songs, they poured unto the dance floor to dance along with her!

Ara Thunder had totally held her audience spellbound! They were so immersed in her songs and performance, that even when she ended the performance, the audience refused to let her go! They remained on the dance floor and shouted for more, and more!

It was indeed a night of frills, thrills and great entertainment of three outstanding performances of three stars from the Atunda Entertainment stable.

Olo Omidan Bata set the ball rolling after the huge crowd made of students, IPADA Returnees, from across the world, guests from Talentz and friends of Africa, gathered for the best of African entertainment, to spice up their dinner this windy Saturday evening.

The atmosphere was cool, especially on a day that had experienced heavy short rain in the morning hours.

The cool wind from the Atlantic ocean, swayed the over hundred coconut tree leaves on the beach front, as if joining to dance to the music from the International stage, which was well lit this particular night.

The cool air motivated a shake of the body, and Olo Omidan Bata, came with the much needed fast drumming beats that elicited a dancing mood, and actually triggered the dancing among the people in the audience.

Olo Omodan Bata, Nigeria’s sensational female drummer, who released a single, ‘Ere Ayo’ and later ‘Jamije’ few months ago, indeed set the tempo for the musical success of the night. Of which Tasha the next Atunda star on stage maximised on.

The crowd flowed to the ryhthm of Tasha’s music, dinner long accomplished. It was time to truly shake the body to African drums, beats and to the melodious voice of Tasha. His fast paced songs elucidated the vibrant energy that could not keep the youths and the young at heart daddies and mamas to their seat.

Ara Thunder afterwards, crowned the night by pulling the excited crowd to the dance floor! A free style affair that saw different races exhibiting their own styled dance steps and dance interpretations of African traditional music and rhythm, at the beach front of the 65 acres, La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, in Ibeju-lekki, Lagos.

Even, when the cool night weather changed to a drizzle, the crowd refused to leave! That was the kind of pull and hold the music had on the crowd, this Saturday night.

To the IPADA (Returnees) home coming tasted so sweet and entertaining. Lagos night life, certainly was at it’s best on Saturday night!
