Don’t shield suspects Oborevwori warns monarch 

The Delta State governor, Sheriff Oborevwori has warned traditional rulers in the state not to shield suspects who may have been involved in the killing of 17 military personnel in Okuama Community in the Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State. Moreso, as most of the dismembered bodies of the slain soldiers were found in the community.

Oborevwori is said to have spoken to the State Traditional Rulers’ Council Secretariat in Asaba.

The Nigerian Army had insisted that it will remain in the creeks until all suspects are arrested.

“No kingdom should shield those criminals, because Delta state is governed by the tenets of the law and human decency,” cried out Oborevwori.

In another development, women and children from the warring communities who fled into the forest at the arrival of soldiers, are said, to still be trapped in the forest.

Fears of a humanitarian crisis is also lurking around the corner, perhaps one of the reasons the governor urged the traditional rulers to speak up early to averse more damages, starvation and death.
