Dr. Saheed (BKS) Appointed Chairman, Nigerian Medical Association

Dr. Saheed Babajide Kehinde Saheed (BKS), has been appointed Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, Lagos State, Zone. And since then, encomiums and congratulatory messages, has been pouring in for for the well loved, amiable Medical practitioner.

In a rolled out response to the various out-pouring of love messages, Dr Saheed had this to say:

“This is to express my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of well wishes and congratulatory messages I have received on my recent appointment. Your support means the world to me, and I am deeply honored to have your trust as I embark on this new journey.

“The transition from 1st Vice Chairman to Chairman comes as a result of our former Chairman’s elevation to the esteemed position of 1st Vice President  of the National Officers Committee (NOC) of the Nigerian Medical Association in the just concluded NMA national elections in Calabar. It’s an opportunity to have worked with him when he was the Chairman.

“As I step into this role, I want to assure each and every one of you of my unwavering commitment to our association and to every member of our esteemed profession in Lagos state. Your well-being, rights, and interests are my top priority, and I will work tirelessly to ensure that they are upheld and protected.

“I seek your support and unity as we navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Together, we can achieve great things and continue to elevate the standard of healthcare in our community.

“Transparency will be at the forefront of my leadership. I pledge to run the affairs of our association with integrity, openness, accountability and in accordance with our rules and regulations, ensuring that every decision made is in the best interest of our members and our profession.

“I want to extend my reassurance and support to our member who may have been unsuccessful in the just concluded national NMA elections. Once again, thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to working together to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and the future of healthcare in Lagos state.

“We will ensure provision of effective, adequate, accessible, affordable, equitable and qualitative healthcare delivery system in Lagos State  with special and specific interests in the qualitative and effective welfare and safety of our members,” he added.
