Sunday 30th, the last day of the month of June will remain a historic day for Flaming Sword Ministries AKA Chapel Of The Overtakers, which is located at Lewis street, Obalende, Lagos Island.
That day the church fulfilled the tradition of the first church in the bible, that is, to consecrate ministers for the church and put them in leadership roles, for the progress of the church.
It was a two steps celebration as the church, Flaming Sword Ministries AKA Chapel Of The Overtakers, also marked their annual anniversary with thanksgiving dance and prayers.
The General Overseer of the church, Bishop Adebayo Babalola welcomed the members and dignitaries who had come to grace the occasion such as, Pastor Akin Akindejoye, as well as Pastor Jide Akerele and Mrs Jackson.
Pastor Akin Akindejoye is the Senior Pastor, Guiding Light Assembly, Global City Church Epe. Akindejoye is the Founder and President of AMA World Outreach and General Secretary of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria Lagos State Chapter. Pastor Jide Akerele is a Mechanical Consultant, while Mrs Jackson, is a Medical Practitioner.
The message for the day and exhortation for the new pastors was delivered by Pastor Akin Akindejoye, who took time to explain the intrigues of how we can improve our spirituality, to overcome the peculiar troubles in worldly situations through prayer and fasting.
Afterwards, the actual ordination ceremony, of which had the blessings of Bishop Adebayo Babalola, the Presiding Bishop and General Overseer of the Church, took place with sacred oaths of allegiance to the Christian call to duty, amidst great excitement and celebration inside the church.
The service later came to an end with refreshments and joyful congratulations to the church, and to the newly ordained pastors, by family, friends and well-wishers.
