The new Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Akwa Ibom State, Grace Akpan, penned a report, about the splendid farewell ceremony:
THANK YOU MOI FOR THE SEND-FORTH
PS Edet Nsungwara and I were treated to an amazing send-forth on Monday 3rd June, 2024 by our parent Ministry, MOI at the NUJ Press Centre, Uyo.
It didn’t come to me as a surprise because this is what Comrade Ini Ememobong has come to be known for since assumption of office as the Commissioner for Information. And as the then Director of Public Relations in the Ministry, that has been under my schedule of duties.
So, with the approval of my new Boss, the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Sir Charles Udoh, I attended the event with Directors from my new Ministry of Culture and Tourism led by the Director of Culture, Akparawa John Offiong, who recently handed-over to me, being the one who covered the duties of the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry. Directors from the Parastatals under the Ministry – Hotels and Tourism Board as well as the Centre for Arts and Culture, also accompanied me to the event.
