Top Nigerian fashion designer, Funmi Ajila-Ladipo hit the spotlight once again, when royalty came calling all the way from the United Kingdom, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan landed in Nigeria for a visit.

It was the case of royalty meets culture! And Abike Dabiri-Erewa the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, and a long time friend of Funmi Ajila-Ladipo, was there, on hand to present the visiting couple with colourfully stylish, lovely Aso Oke fabrics made by Regalia by Fal.

So lovely were they that the Duchess adorn it with royal charm and grace!

It became the instant photo representing the couple’s visit to Africa, Nigeria, which equally adorned the cover pages of newspapers and online blogs around the world for days!

Funmi Ajila-Ladipo told Paul Ukpabio’s Blog that she was humbled and very proudly African, proudly Nigerian, when she saw the photos go viral everywhere!

Funmi Ajila-Ladipo is not new to fashion, designs and style. A two term President of Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria, she is a designer of designers, a mentor to many successful designers in Nigeria and outside Nigeria, and clothes from her brand Regalia by Fal are a much-sought after by society top big-wigs, movie stars, musicians and top executives.

The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle were in Nigeria, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
