Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has approved demolition of Garki, Jabi and other 28 slums in Abuja.
The said places are areas that had been earlier surveyed by the Federal Capital Development Authority.
When the exercise commences, about 6000 buildings will be demolished.
The buildings according to our sources have already been marked.
The demolition effort is to get rid of shanties in the Federal Capital Territory.
