IPADA 2024: Hon. Minister, Barr. Hannatu Musawa Receives Otunba Wanle Akinboboye


The Honorable Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism And Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, yesterday in Lagos, received the Founder of IPADA Initiative and IPADA Carnival, Otunba Olawanle Akinboboye.

The meeting which was in furtherance of the Presidential hosting of the upcoming IPADA Carnival celebration 2024 this month November and December, was according to Otunba Olawanle Akinboboye, a very comprehensive one, for the planning of the upcoming Mega IPADA Carnival, which will commence from the 29th of November to the 8th of December, at the 65 acres La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort located at Ibeju-lekki, Lagos, Nigeria.

It will be recalled that earlier in the year, the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu had anointed the IPADA Initiative and IPADA Carnival celebration, with a triple acceptance to be the Chief Host of the event, along with being the Grand Patron of the Initiative as well as being the Global Ambassador of IPADA.

And this was immediately followed by a beehive of activities which included elaborate preparations, high level consultations, local and international connections and inter – intra government agencies collaborations.

There was the multiple hosting of the erstwhile tourism Minister, Mrs. Lola Ade-John at the resort, the Briefing of Ambassadors And High Commissioners at State House Banquet Hall in Abuja, the hosting of State Commissioners, Director Generals of State Tourism Agencies and Bureau, the hosting of the private sector and other stakeholders, the press and so on, at the proposed venue of the mega event, the La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort.

With the Presidency leading, IPADA Carnival is also being partnered with other states of the Federation, the Lagos State Government specifically standing out with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s early endorsement of the event and Initiative.

It therefore promises to be a mega celebration as already being planned for November 29th to December 8th of this year.

The Ipada Carnival is a ten day long invitation to people of African descent across the globe to experience an unparalleled cultural renaissance in Lagos, Nigeria, at the 65 acres La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort located at Ibeju-lekki.

The event among other things will feature a colourful Carnival; a beach Durbar; music from 54 African countries; the Nefertiti Queen of Africa Beauty Pageant; Ose Awards, Business unusual; nite clubbing at the longest pool with palmwine bar, overlooking the Atlantic ocean; Water sport activities; and the free training of 5000 youths in Artificial Intelligence by Vanuatu Trade Commission, sponsored by Vanuatu, an island nation which comprises of 83 islands in the South Pacific ocean, about 800 kilometres west of Fiji and 1800 kilometres east of Australia, in conjunction with the African Diaspora Central Bank (ADCB).
