The event which took place at the Prestigious R & A City Hotel, off Allen Avenue at the heart of Ikeja, Lagos, had in attendance, dignitaries from all works of life, who graced the occasion.
At the event, the late popular security guru, who bestrided the security business in Africa, had his wife, Chief Mrs Victoria Ekhomu, pick up his Posthumous Lifetime Achievement Recognition Award.
In her remarks, Chief Dr. Mrs. Victoria Ekhomu who is also equally a notable figure in the security sector in Africa, recalled that, her late husband was a great friend of the press during his lifetime.
“My husband kept a good relationship with the press. He associated with the press and I can recall that many of them also used to come to him for their security matters and whenever they had issues that had to do with security. I thank the organisers for this award, and for the show of love, to my late husband”, she said.
On her part, Chief Dr. Mrs Victoria Ekhomu, was awarded, The Transworld Amazon In Security Business In Africa, at the event.
She is the President of Association of Industrial Security & Safety Operators of Nigeria (AISSON), a WIMBIZ Life Member. She was an ASIS Foundation Board of Trustee member, past Chairman of the African Advisory Council of ASIS International. Presently, the Chairman/CEO of Transworld Security Limited. Former Senior Regional Vice President of ASIS International Africa Group 11B – West, Central and North Africa, Managing Director of Trans-World Security Systems Ltd and the Executive Vice-President of the School of Management and Security, Lagos.
