The Nigerian Senate has summoned security chiefs to brief it on the Christmas eve attacks in Plateau State, which led to the death of over 100 Nigerians.
This followed a motion of urgent national importance posted by Diiket Plang, the senator representing Plateau Central.
Senator Plang had in his lead motion drawn the attention of the red chamber to the incident which occurred over some days leading to the deaths of over 150 persons.
Some senators lamented that not too long ago expected to bring some form of relief, nothing significant has changed.
In his concluding remarks, the Senate President who called on heads of security agencies in the country to change strategy in the fight against insecurity, expressed dismay over the attacks that have displaced many residents in plateau state.
