NIPR calls For Values re-orientation Amongst Nigerians 

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), has stressed the urgent need for values re-orientation amongst Nigerians through citizen’s education to deconstructs the existing wrong mindset and put in new mindset that is suitable for nation building.

The President of the body, Dr Ikechukwu Neliaku disclosed this during a courtesy call to the Kwara State governor who is also the Chairman of Nigeria’s Governors Forum (NGF) at the Government House Ilorin the Kwara State capital where he maintained that doing so in this crucial moment of nation building will go a long way in reinventing the spirit of patriotism in Nigerians.

Dr Neliaku noted that NIPR has put in place a nationwide campaign tagged “REBIRTH NIGERIA AGENDA” in conjunction with the National Orientation Agency, the Federal ministry of Information with a view to right the wrongs, calling for partnership with the Nigeria Governors Forum.

In his remarks, the Kwara State governor who is also the Chairman of Nigeria’s Governor’s Forum, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq attributed the challenges facing the country ranging from insecurity, harsh economy and naira free falls to drop in the Nation’s values and patriotism which must be addressed by all and sundry as a matter of urgency.

The NIPR as a professional body is of the view that with values-reorientation amongst Nigerians the country will be the true giant of Africa and an envy of the world.
