NNPCL Detects 4,800 illegal Connections On Oil Pipelines In the Country

Mele Kyari, the Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company has disclosed that there are over 4,800 illegal connection on the pipelines of the Corporation across the country.

 

Kyari, made the revelation at the Senate Committee on Appropriation.

 

On crude oil theft, Kyari said that, to engage none state actors for the protection of national assets remain an abnormal and shouldn’t have happened. Adding that, between June to November, 2023, the Company has payed a total of #406 billion into the Federation account.

 

while reaffirming that the era of subsidy has gone, he assured  that before the end of the year, Port Harcourt and Warri refineries will be functional while that of Kaduna will be up and ready before the end of 2024.
