Oba Adeleke Akibu Leads Royal Entourage On Visit To Tourism Icon, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye

His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Adeleke Ismaila Akibu (Ade’ngbin) Esilu meje Akoko Okiriboto 11 Oni-lepia of Lepia Kingdom, stepped out of his royal palace few days ago, to pay a courtesy visit to Tourism Icon, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye, at his famous La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

In His Royal Majesty’s entourage, was a long list of other traditional rulers which included: High Chief Tajudeen Lawal (Baale of Folu); Chief Tajudeen Adams (Chairman, Baales in Council Lekki LCDA) Baale of Igbolomi; High Chief Semiu Laketu (Baale of Siriwon/Igbekodo; Chief Babatunde Komolafe (Secretary Baales in Council Lekki LCDA) Baale of Origanrigan 2; High Chief Kasim Kareem (Baale of Okegelu); Mr Adebayo Adekoya (HOD BUDGET, ETI OSA WEST LCDA) who is also the Vice Chairman Anniversary Planning Committee; Mr. Adebayo Kehinde (Director of Publicity, Ministry of Chieftaincy and Community affairs); Engineer Olajide Ajayi (Chairman Fund Raising Committee); Mr Adeolu Oretoye (Chairman Publicity Committee); Mr Abass Toyin (M C) Secretary Publicity Committee; Chief Shegun Lawal (Former Adele Lepia community); Ajike Elewi; Prince Ismaila Hamed OLORI Omo oba LEPIA of Al-Awwal Travels Limited; Princess Fatai Rofiyat Temitope and Prince Ismaila Ibrahim aka Balo of Lagos.

Otunba Wanle Akinboboye hosted his royal guests at one of the luxury homes at the vast La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, in a stylish reception only reserved for royals.

The drums came to life, and were sooner in frenzy as Atunda Entertainment turned the visit into a fanfare.

There was much to be said, in greetings and in purpose of visit. And actually much was said. But for all that was said and done, the trappings of royal grandeur was evidence in the African culture and traditional protocol.

His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Adeleke Ismaila Akibu said it is indeed a pleasure to meet the tourism icon, who he had unofficially met several years ago, at a time when he had never even dreamt he would one day be crowned an Oba. That even back then, Akinboboye was a man deep and versed in African culture and traditions. That he is not surprised to find out that he is still a vintage and proponent of African culture and traditions today. He also acknowledged that Akinboboye’s fame has travelled far and wide ahead of him, as he seized the opportunity, to render special prayers for him and his businesses.

HRM Alaiyeluwa Oba Adeleke Ismaila Akibu then went ahead to present his request that he would be coronated in February and would want the tourism icon to join hands with him and his kingdom, to ensure that the occasion turns out a grand success.

In his response, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye thanked HRM Alaiyeluwa Oba Adeleke Ismaila Akibu and the entire members of the entourage, assuring them of his full support for the forthcoming coronation, his commitment to ensure its success and his continous commitment to the development of the kingdom of Lepia and beyond.
