… RCCG Transfers Him Out of City of David
Pastor Idowu Iluyomade of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) City of David Parish, Region 20, Victoria Island, Lagos, has been transferred from the church.
And another Pastor in the RCCG fold, Pastor Kayode Pitan has stepped in as the new pastor.
Reports stated that Pastor Idowu Iluyomade has been moved to RCCG Throne of Grace, Ebute Metta, Lagos, which serves as the headquarters of the mission.
This transfer was officially confirmed on Sunday, 2 June, 2024 during the monthly thanksgiving service held across all RCCG parishes.
Iluyomade’s new role is at the RCCG Region 1, Ebute Metta, where he will serve as the Pastor-in-Charge of elders.
Sources indicated that Pastor Iluyomade is not pleased with the transfer, citing his extensive efforts in building the Trinity Towers, a project worth over N10 billion, which is still indebted to Access Bank.
Additionally, Pastor Iluyomade, who is 65 years old, reportedly expressed dissatisfaction that he has not yet reached the retirement age of 70.
