The Super Eagles of Nigeria have become richer with plots of land in the federal capital territory, after being conferred with national honours by President Bola Tinubu. The gesture is a fall out of their performance in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire, where the team won silver medal in the tournament.
President Bola Tinubu thanked the players for lifting the nation’s spirit with their performance at AFCON.
Afterwards, Nyesome Wike, minister of FCT, presented members of the team with forms to fill out and claim their gifts of lands and apartments.
