Zamfara Students Cry Out, lament Over Non Payment of NECO Tuition Fees By The State government

Over one Million Zamfara State Students who sat for the 2024 National Examination Council NECO Examination are yet to know their fate over non payment of tuitions by the government of Dauda Lawal.

“Yes this is exactly two weeks ago after the official released of NECO Examination Nationwide, yet our over one Million Children who sat for this year NECO examination are still waiting for the response of the State government to settle the examination body to enable our Children to further their dream studies,” Malam Yunusa, father of one of the affected Students was quoted lamenting and shedding tears in public.”

Another parent who gave his name as Malami Atiku Gusau, bitterly complained, in his words: “part of the reason why we voted for governor Dauda Lawal was that he promised that he will use the state government funds to pay for our Children both the WAEC and NECO Examination tuition fees, yet he has refused to fulfil his promise. And he is aware that we have a dis-advantage of low western education which is affecting the State.

It is rather very sad situation for most parents in Zamfara state because the failure of the Zamfara State government to settle NECO examination tuitions in the next few days to come, will definitely affect the chances of Zamfara State students to secure admission into Tertiary institutions this year as many Universities and Monotechnics have closed their 2024/2025 admission portals.
