The Nigerian Senate’s Committee on Labour and Productivity, led by Senator Diket Plang, is set to augment the 2024 budget of the Labour Ministry, along with the ministry’s proposed allocation of 13 billion.
Senator Tahir Monguno raieed a motion to this effect during the committee’s meeting with the Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Lalong, the Minister of State, Hon. Nkiruka Onyejiocha, and other ministry members at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.
Senator Monguno said the committee has authority in appropriation, and power to adjust the budget as necessary.
