Lagos probes death of doctor in elevator

The Lagos State Government is not leaving any stone unturned in the matter of the death of Dr Vwaere Diaso, who is said to have died in a lagos elevator on Tuesday.

The government has condoled the family and according to a statement by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Strategy, Olumide Sogunle, has commenced probe of the incident.

The death she said was caused by a mechanical failure.

Meanwhile, Dr Vwaere Diaso’s death, sparked off an immediate call for doctors strike by the Lagos State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association. The body also announced a 5 day mourning period.
