In a swift reaction to the media blow-up of the indebtedness of Aso Rock to Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), President Bola Tinubu has directed urgent payment for electricity used to the electric company.
The move has shown that the present federal government, is a listening government, a responsive government, that is out to correct the wrongs in the society.
However, the government insists that:
“Both the State House and AEDC have agreed that the outstanding bill is N342, 352, 217.46, and not N923.8 million,” as earlier mentioned in the media.
