Unlike actors, the models couldn’t wait for the chant ‘light, camera and action’! The budding talents in fashion and modeling created a spectacle to behold on the cold Friday evening of June 30, 2023.
For regular visitors at Soft Life Lounge, Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, it was a sight to behold. Their pop relaxation spot wore the kind of look seen only at fashion shows at Paris, New York, London and/or Milan.
Just like a Hilda Baci prepared meal, the nite was a creative mix of fashion-entertainment served alarcate, as the evening was spiced with mind blowing performances by XDC Dance Crew, Blaqtymez, Bob Biggie and Edisbrown whose spoken word presentation titled ‘Embrace High Fashion’ earned a reverberating applause.
The Uyo Models Community and it’s committed partners deserve commendation for painstakingly putting together a world-class fashion show and threw the doors open, to showcase creative designs by LemonSa, Bukelz and Bumble Bee, adorned by naturally beautiful homegrown models.
Stunning looking damsels were also styled to the event by renowned fashion brands Basigz, Gloken Empire, Poshgold creations, Jackey Bassey, Walkin Manikin, Threadwox Mestiere and Verge Fashion House. It was an outing in Uyo modeling industry with memories to be cherished forever.
Highpoint of the nite was the presentation of the Entrepreneur Newpaper Vive La Moda Iconic Model Award to Victoria Modela Ben, by the editor of the newspaper for keeping it real as a model for more than a dacade.
